THE METRO NEWS MELBOURNE
THE SANSKRIT word Tantra means “to expand, or to weave”.
The essence of
Tantra is to continually expand, spread
and manifest oneself like a “cosmic
weave,” utilizing every type of energy
including thoughts, actions, and all
physical matter. Jade Lotus Tantra
Massage, as taught at the National
Institute of Tantra, is a newly
formulated three level massage that is
instructional, experiential and
therapeutic. The sessions are conducted
with complete integrity and are based on
learning.
The Chakras
Level one, involves a full body
massage, during which clients gain a
more thorough knowledge on the Chakra
system. The chakras are the key to
physical health, emotional stability and
mental clarity. They affect the hormones
that control our body. They also affect
our state of mind.
Pranayama
Level two involves lengthy discussions
in Pranyama - the act of taking in Prana
(life-force). Clients develop knowledge of
the different types of breaths which
allow them to find the central pathway
between mind and body. Tantric breath
is purifying and with every breath
clients feel cleansed and more energized.
Body to body temple massage
Level three puts all the knowledge
gained into
practice. The
practitioners
teach you how to
stimulate the life
force (Shakti) and
combine it with cosmic knowledge
(Shiva). The
Process of this
awakening is
accelerated
through Tantra
and is reflected in
the image of
Kundalini,
depicted as a
coiled serpent that lies dormant at the
base of the spine.
Level three Jade Lotus
Tantra helps awaken the energy which
then rises along the spinal column,
activating all the Chakras on the way up.
Awakening
The practice of Tantra is founded upon
the mysteries of the male to female union
of energies. Enlightenment is the personal
consciousness of the union between Shiva
and Shakti. The movements and
techniques that are taught provide the
individual with an opportunity to
experience this union.
Code of ethics
The all too familiar relationship
between Tantra and sexual service is
something that the National Institute
Tantra is attempting to re-educate the
public about. The National Institute of
Tantra conducts its Tantra work under
the code of Ethics outlined though the
International Association of Sex
Educators, Counselors and Therapists.
